Walter Schirmacher turned me on to your website. I met him and Bill Korsak at the Foundation Gaming Convention in Okemos. which took place from March 5 through March 7. It was my first foray back into gaming in about two years. I'v been gaming for over twenty years. I've attending a lot of conventions. Never, ever, have I met two more friendly ambassadors for gaming in my entire gaming career. They both made me feel that re-joining the gaming community would be a good thing for me. They were polite and friendly. They reminded me of why I enjoyed gaming in the first place. I'd gotten disillusioned with gaming during my days as a competitive tournament CCG player. The competition was turning people mean and nasty. The people that I was gaming with (not my friends, but the people at tournaments) were becoming progressively less friendly. I'd come to think of gaming as a competition only, something to conquer. However, I outgrew that when I'd become a little older, when met my wife, Renee. I discovered that I should be spending my free time enjoying good people and good times. Friendly competition over cut-throat competition. That became important to me. The desire to game came back and I got into video games at home with friends and with my wife. Then the urge to game in a more creative fashion started to come back as well. I wanted to meet new people and see if I could find people that I could game with competitively and still be friendly as well. I found that at Foundation. I especially found that with the MIB. Thank you Walter and Bill. As a side note, Alex, your articles are really well thought out and interesting. I look forward to meeting you sometime soon. I'm even considering attending Penguicon and I have no interest whatsoever in Linux. Walter tells me that Steve Jackson is going to be there. I see that you and Walter are planning to attend as well. If you can tell me that you'll be running demonstrations all weekend and that you wouldn't mind someone hanging out playing games with you, then I may even change "considering" to "will be". Thanks again, Todd Ritchey ritchey@aiserve.net

I have volunteered to set up a Munchkin day at the Game Preserve in West Lafayette, IN and I wondered if there is anything I should know? Thanks in advance, ~Jeff Blakemore
